Earlier today the East African Court of Justice (EACJ) delivered two Judgements, against the Government of Burundi, in the following cases: –

  • EACJ Reference No. 7 of 2013: Burundian Journalists Union (BJU) (Applicant) vs. Attorney General of Burundi (Respondent)
  • EACJ Reference No. 1 of 2014: East Africa Law Society (EALS) (Applicant) vs. Attorney General of Burundi (1st Respondent) and the Secretary General of Burundi (2nd Respondent)
